Privacy and Security - Avoid Identity Theft

Be sure to keep privacy and security in mind as you post content to this site.

This is a public site that is viewable by anyone with internet access including people with bad intentions. Because of this, for anyone still living try to avoid items typically used for security questions including the following:

  • birth day and month
  • city of birth
  • mother's maiden name

Much of the content in this site comes from written documents that were developed for genealogical purposes. For identity theft reasons, we've excluded and/or edited the content on this site to remove the items above. If you need that genealogical information, please find the person who has the original document.
