Birthday Brunch with Meek and Roney families
Bob Burgess, the 3rd generation of the John I. & Margaret Burgess line, turned eighty years old October, 2005. In addition to celebrating with the extended Burgess clan at the Labor Day reunion, he had a birthday brunch with his daughter, Karen and family (including three of his great-grandsons). Bob met his older daughter Barbara for dinner the same week, enjoying that event with another one of his great-grandsons, Tyler Hoover.

The extended Burgess clan helped Bob celebrate an early 80th birthday with a cake at their Labor Day reunion. The cake photos were of him and Charles as little boys with their pet raccoons. The other photo was of Bob in his KSU hat, in recent years. Bob, born in 1925 and Charles, born in 1927 were raised in the old stone house, which still stands in good condition today.
